DIRECT BANKING CHANNELS
Ø NIC Online
You can access any of your accounts with us through our Internet banking solution – NIC Online. This service allows you to:
- Manage your account – View, Download and Print Statements
- Make Transfers
- Standard Funds Transfers
- To internal NIC Bank Accounts (real time)
- To external Bank Accounts (value after two working days)
- RTGS transfers to accounts in other banks – (same day value)
- Purchase and Sales of Shares through NIC Securities via secure email instructions
- Manage your cheques
- Ordering new cheque books – for collection at the branch
- Ordering Bankers Cheques – for collection at the branch
- Confirmation of Cheques
- Stop Cheques (real time)
- Communicate to the Bank through secure Email – for instructions, enquiries etc
- Use MPESA through this channel whereby Personal and Corporate Banking customers who are signed up on NIC Online can withdraw money from their NIC Current Account and transfer to M-PESA with a maximum transfer of KES 140,000 per day (two transactions of KES 70,000 each)
Ø Mobile Banking
Mobile banking allows you to perform the following transactions:
- Balance Enquiry
- Mobile Top Up – any amount from KES 10 to KES 10,000
- Mini Statement Request – up to five transactions
- M-PESA – Transfers of up to KES 140,000 per day
- Funds Transfers – of up to KES 500,000 per day
- Stop Cheque – (real time)
- Service Requests :
- Cheque Book Request, Full Statement Request
- Cheque Status – Issued, Stopped
- Forex Rates
In addition to the above, customers also receive SMS notifications for the following transactions:
1. Debits/Credits 4. Cleared Cheques
2. Unpaid Items 5. Debit Card Transactions
3. Overdrawn A/c
- NIC Customer Contact Centre
This is a fully fledged Contact Centre that is available from 8.00a.m. to 8p.m. on Weekdays and from 8a.m. to 2p.m. on Saturdays. Customers are free to call for assistance on:
- Balance enquiries
- Statements Requests
- Internet Banking, Mobile and ATM help and information
- Email Enquiries
- Funds Transfer request set up and follow up via email
- New Product Information
- Complaint resolution
- Account opening requirements
- Loan application procedure and requirements
- Reporting of lost or stolen debit and credit cards
- Card replacement upon expiry of your current credit or debit card.
