
Mr Ndegwa holds an MA Degree from Oxford University, UK and is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, UK. He is the Chairman of First Chartered Securities Limited and a director of several companies. Prior to his present position he was the Managing Director Lion of Kenya Insurance Company. He joined the NIC Board in 2003
Mr Macharia holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Nairobi, and an MBA from Henley Management College in the United Kingdom. He is a Chartered Accountant (Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales) as well as a Certified Public Accountant (Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya).
Mr Ndegwa holds an MA (Hons) Degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University, UK. He is the Corporate Director of First Chartered Securities Limited and previously worked for Citibank and AMbank. He joined the NIC Board in 1997.
Mr Mwanzia has a BCom degree from Nairobi University and is a qualified member of the Association of the Chartered Certified Accountants, UK and Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators, UK. He is also a member of ICPAK and ICPSK. He joined NAS Airport Services in 1976 as Financial Controller and Company Secretary. He is a director of several companies and joined the NIC Board in 1995.
5. I Ochola-Wilson – Non Executive Director
Mrs Ochola-Wilson has a BA from Dar-es-Salaam University and an MBA from University of British Columbia, Canada. She previously worked for Johnson & Johnson as General Manager and Deputy Director with Kenya Wildlife Services. She is currently Project Manager for DFID’s Business Partnership Programme and is a Director in a number of organizations including Council membership of the University of Nairobi. She joined the NIC Board in 1999
6. F M Mbiru – Non Executive Director
Mr Mbiru has a BA degree from Makerere University and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers. He worked for Barclays Bank between 1964-1993 rising to the position of General Manager. He is currently a management consultant and a director of several companies. He joined the NIC Board in 1993.
7. G A Maina – Non Executive Director
Mr Maina has a B.Tech degree from Loughborough University, UK. He has had a long business career in the private sector, mainly with Shell where he held senior positions in the Caribbean and Central America, West Africa, East Africa and Africa Region. He has been a Board Member of a diverse group of companies and organizations covering oil, chemicals, sugar, refineries, finance and conservation sectors in Kenya and abroad. Currently he is a business consultant. He joined the NIC Board in 2002.
