JAMES MACHARIA - Managing Director
Mr Macharia holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Nairobi, and an MBA from Henley Management College in the United Kingdom. He is a Chartered Accountant (Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales) as well as a Certified Public Accountant (Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya).
Mr Macharia joined NIC Bank in April 2005, from the African Banking Corporation (ABC) group. He had been managing director of ABC Tanzania since 2001. Between 1995 and 2001 he was managing director of two other ABC group businesses in Zambia. Prior to that he worked for Deloitte Haskins & Sells in both London and Nairobi, as well as Standard Chartered Bank Kenya.

ALAN DODD - Director, Corporate Banking
Mr. Dodd has a BA(Hons) in Economics from Portsmouth Univerity,UK. He is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers. He has extensive regional and international banking experience, covering East and Southern Africa, Middle East and the Far East. He joined NIC Bank in January 2006 as Head of Corporate Banking, and was appointed to the NIC Board on 22nd February 2006.

SANKUL MANDAVIA - Director, Treasury
Before his appointment he was the Assistant General Manager Institutional Banking and Liability Management at Commercial Bank of Africa. He also served as Head of Treasury at First American Bank of Kenya. He holds a BSc. Business Administration from United States International University(USIU).

JAMES N. MUCHIRI - Director, Operations and Technology
He joined NIC Bank from his position as Standard Chartered's Head of Banking Service Delivery, Africa Region .He previously served as Executive Director for Operations and IT in Standard Chartered Botswana. His qualifications include a Bachelor of Education in Science degree from Kenyatta University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science from the University of Nairobi. He is also member of the Australian Computer Society (MACS).

DAVID M KIAMBI - Director, Human Resources
Before his appointment he was the Group HR Manager at BAT Kenya. He has a B.Sc (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nairobi and an MBA-Employee Relations from the University of Leicester-UK.

LIVINGSTONE MURAGE - Director, Finance and Administration
Mr. Livingstone Murage has 15 years experience in banking, mostly at AMBank. He has been with NIC Bank since the merger with AMBank. He is Head of Finance and Administration, in addition to his duties as Company Secretary.

JAMES WANYIKA - Director, Risk Management
Mr. James Wanyika is the Head of Risk Management at NIC Bank. Prior to his appointment, he was the Credit Officer and Risk Management Trainer for East Africa at Standard Chartered Bank. Mr. Wanyika has also worked as Head of Large Domestic Corporates at Standard Chartered Bank and Vice President in the Corporate Division Citibank NA.

JAMES WANAINA - Director, Personal Banking
Mr. Wainaina joined the bank in April 2008. He has 17 years experience in sales and general management and has been in the banking industry for over 8 years, at Standard Chartered Bank and Barclays Bank in both the Corporate and Retail business. Prior to his appointment, he was the Head of Retail Sales at Barclays Bank of Kenya. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from Kenyatta University.
